Happy Monday everyone! Today I'm starting a new experiment with this blog and sharing more of me and my personal life. And yes, I'm a little scared, but I think it makes sense to let you guys see the person behind the planner! So I'm going to give you a little weekend recap!I had a really good weekend- Friday afternoon, hubby and I went for a run. We're training for a 5K. He's doing it because he loves running; I'm doing it because I tend to forget that exercise is important (other than my weekly yoga class). So I've challenged myself to really do this, really get out there and get my blood pumping 3 times a week. So far so good. I'm starting to enjoy it- and hopefully I'll be posting pics of me at the finish line of my first race one day in the near future! Saturday was just beyond (see picture below)... we went out on a yacht to celebrate my bestie's 31st birthday. Now before you think we're ballin' out of control, she got this on a Living Social deal (which if you haven't seen, check it out NOW!) There were 6 of us along with the captain and his first mate- and it was like HEAVEN out there on Barnegat Bay... the weather was perfect. The air was so clean- the sound of the water... goodness. I wanted to move in and never leave that boat. I have a really deep connection to the water. Lakes, streams, rivers and the ocean... it just re-energizes me in a way that very few other things can. We had some drinks, brought along our own lunches and snacks to share... and the salted caramel butter bars made an appearance (remind me to post the recipe- great shower snack, or getaway dessert!!). It was just great. And on Sunday I rested. I was so tired, for some reason that I needed it-
I say all of this to say that I'm slowly rediscovering that doing things for myself is really a great thing. It helps me refocus, and see exactly what I need to be paying attention to. It allows me to be that better person when the chips are down, and it recharges my batteries so I can go out there and work it for my fab couples and clients!
Honestly, I don't know if life gets any better than this! 'Til next time-
