If you're like a lot of brides, you're busy. Once you're about 3 weeks out from the big day, the major stuff's been checked off the to-do list, the beauty appointments have been made and all your wedding "swag" (programs, menus, escort cards, etc) has been assembled. But what about the favors? If you forgot them in the pre-wedding madness, you may think it's too late. Fear not, there are solutions!! Favors are far from required, but if you are looking to add a cute personalized touch to your wedding, there are a few things you and your 'maids can throw together last minute. All you need is a quick trip to your fave craft store, some printable labels (Avery are my favorite, although generic brands work just as well!!), and ribbon.
Bubbles! Bubbles are fun and beautiful. If you're having an outdoor ceremony, reception or both, these are a cute way to add some child-like whimsy. You can get adorable mini bottles of bubbles from your local craft store (Michael's and AC Moore come to mind for you New Jersey Brides). They're super affordable and can be prettied up with pre-printed inkjet labels.
Candy! Who doesn't like candy? Well there might be some people, but usually candy favors are snatched up, with very few leftovers (and if you come across someone who doesn't want their candy, have them send it to me)! Again, craft stores and even Walmart have adorable pre-made favor boxes and bags. Fill with Skittles, M&Ms, or a wrapped candy like Hershey's Kisses or Dove Promises. Add a label, and some ribbon and you're good to go!
Candles! A lot of people shy away from candles for favors, but they are super quick and easy. You can get a big bag of tea lights from Target, Walmart or a craft store- or if you have one in your area, Ikea! Those stores also have a nice selection of inexpensive votive holders. Again, with the ribbon and labels- and you've got a cute & functional favor.
So there you have it! A few super quick and easy solutions to get your favor game back on track! If you have a little more time or even if you aren't looking to DIY, check out these resources for fun favor ideas-
